J. Richard Crozier '94
J. Richard Crozier is a Western New York native and a member of the St
. Joe’s graduating class of 1994 – where he played four years of varsity hockey and helped his teams win Super Sunday championships in his junior and senior years.
Crozier played his collegiate ice hockey at Division III Hobart College in Geneva, where he served as an assistant captain in his junior year and captain as a senior in the 1993-94 season.
He spent four years building and guiding the hockey program at Amherst High School from 2004 to 2008, where he also was a special education teacher. But then had the opportunity to take over the program at St. Joe’s.
Always a firm believer in developing young men off the ice as well as on, Crozier has built the Marauders into one of the top programs in the northeast and recently surpassed 250 career wins – although he’s quick to credit his players and assistant coaches for the success. During his tenure, St. Joe’s has won eight Federation titles and eight state crowns.
He’s the son of legendary professional hockey player and coach Joe Crozier, who played for the Toronto Maple Leafs and coached several professional teams including the Buffalo Sabres.
