Dean Adams
Dean Adams is a native of Tonawanda and a member of the Cardinal O’Hara graduating class of 2017, where he played baseball and also called football and basketball games as a public address announcer.
He went on to Medaille College and graduated in 2021. He stepped away from playing sports while at Medaille so he could become a student manager for the school’s men’s basketball team. He held this position for four years, assisting the coaching staff in day-to-day operations.
He volunteers as a scorekeeper for the Orville’s summer baseball team in the AAABA, a job he’s held for two years now.
This year, he had the opportunity to come to St. Joe’s – a school with which he was very familiar from his days with Monsignor Martin Athletic Association rival O’Hara – and has taken on the role of Assistant Athletic Director of Business Operations.
Comment: “Last year, I finished my first full season public-address announcing at Canisius College for their men’s basketball team,” Adams said. “It’s a hobby that I enjoy because my position is crucial to the game from a behind-the-scenes lens.”
